Earl is exaggerating things a bit, Jerry -

IIRC, several years ago - at the height of the Loop-de-Loop fiasco - St. Pauli brewery made an offer to help out by sponsoring the restoration of #9 in exchange for using the tender behind her to advertise their St. Pauli Girl beer, as seen here in this draft illustration:


Rumor is that to ensure things work out this time they're going to sweeten the deal by paying for Sonny Hummdinger to provide the truck and expertise necessary for the 'moonlight acquisition'. This would cost a LOT less than re-laying the track beyond the wye at the top of Bareass Pass.

p.s.  One of the suggestions for increasing ridership was to have a few of the St. Pauli Girls serve as Car Attendants on the trains.  If things don't pan out at Como, maybe the C&TS could give this a try.
