Hi,

If I remember right, about 1970, there was a set of cast brass side frame trucks available (not sure if it was passenger or freight) that had a stub cast on the inside and a bent piece of brass for the bolster. I think the axle holes were cast or drilled in but not sure.

To assemble, the instructions said to put the bolster over the raised stub on the inside and then flatten the stub like a rivet. Then the wheel sets and other side frame was attached and the rivet stub on the other side was to be flattened.

I never could figure out how to hold everything together and the one bolster and side frame I did rivet, marred the outside of the side frame.
