Assuming that your map is in the usual TOP = NORTH orientation, the siding in Allison was located to the northeast of and parallel to the main line. Here's a sneak preview of an Ernie Robart photo taken nearly fifty years ago, on Nov. 23, 1968, that on the far right shows what appears to be a pipe gon or two left on the siding in Allison sometime earlier in the summer

The next shot on the roll clearly shows the stand for the east switch just in front of locomotive #483, which was pulling the National Park Service Special from Durango to Chama that day
