The article states they got the loco for $10k, that is so much under market value for an 18 inch loco. The cost of the insurance is not because they run steam, it is because they haul the public! If they can demonstrate their safety program and they have the proper boiler inspections their insurance should not be any higher than any amusement ride. The majority of our insurance is public liability. Russ (Train Mountain).
