Here is an aerial of my proposed phase 1 of The Emmettsville Railway, eventually to reach Caldwell, Idaho about 18 miles away. Would take a fleet of large 18" gauge locos to operate and would be a 'destination event' for worldwide small steam fans! May even be an impetus to get our local short line railroad to start offering excursions again! Much of this is on the roadbed of trackage abandoned by them in the 1990's.
I plan on writing a blog post about my vision for this railway someday, but I have several half written posts waiting, it is getting like my long abandoned www.narrowgaugenews.net , going on 11 years without an update...
The 'starting point' pin in the upper left is where the current Black Canyon Tram is being built...
