I only have some limtied information on GE locos, and the lists are misleading because they only indicate weight, diesel engine, main generator and traction motor model.

There are some electrics showing being built for CF&I - not sure if there was an electric line to the slag pile or or these were for their underground mines.

The first GE diesel-electric is shown as being built in 1940 as a "44 ton", but the electro-mechanical equipment match a "43 ton" predecessor model to what became the "45 ton" catalog model. No idea as to gauge, might be standard.

Next are two 25 tons built in 1942, so they must have gotten some priority from the WPB.
Followed by eight more 25 tons in 1947 shown as being numbered 3-10.
Presumably the 1942 engines were numbers 1-2 and all were narrow gauge? This would be the group the two WP&Y units came from. The Loop was supposed to have gotten a xCF&I 25 ton later in 2005, but as it was apparently cancelled by CHS I am guessing that this might be the one that was/is at the museum in Pueblo.

Another 25 ton in 1950. Gauge or #11?

1957 they got two "44 tons" which are actually a variation of the late "50 ton" catalog model for steel mill use. One of these went to the Loop (#21), the other presumably scrapped. I've seen photos and seem to recall it is the 22?

Presumably CF&I dropped narrow gauge steam by 1957. Their common carrier Colorado & Wyoming got units (mostly EMD) that probably replaced any standard gauge steam in the 1950s.

Not a comprehensive roster by any means - just what I have available.
