Duane,
K-27's (450-464): You're correct on the K-27's. Other than 463 & 464, the last remaining two were 458 & 459 that were sold to NdeM in 1941, later converted to SG and scrapped in the late 50's & early 60's.
K-28's (470-479): 3 remaining, all at DGO, all operating. The other seven were requisitioned during WWII by the US Army, served in Alaska on the WP&Y, all 7 scrapped in Seattle after the war.
K-36's (480-489): Here again you are correct as to location. D&SNG says 486 will be ready for Railfair. In Chama, 487 & 489 are operating. 483 is at old roundhouse awaiting asbestos removal, 484 is waiting it's turn in shop, next after 497 is complete. 488 to enter shop later, possibly not until winter.
K-37's (490-499): 490 & 496 scrapped as noted. 491 in Golden, 492 & 497 in Chama, 492 in old roundhouse, same status as 483, 497 in shops, to be ready in July. 493 on display in Silverton. 494 & 495 are both on display in Antonito. 498 at DGO roundhouse. 499 at Royal Gorge (w/498's tender).
Thanks, MAS
