Frank Bayliss was the owner/operator of the Alton & Pacific. About 12 years ago, the remains of that line were sold to a private owner and moved to Arroyo Grande where there are no less than 10 other 2' gauge steam locomotives undergoing complete restorations to operating condition. Frank's #5 and the Fowler are awaiting their turn.
