folks,
i have a note that the late Richard Dayton owned this combine/caboose at Laws,CA in the late 1960s.

What are some of its other numbers? Does it still exist?

The Society for the Preservation of Carter Brothers Railroad Resources just put a run of their newsletters up on their web site.

The April 2016 issue has a biographical article about Dick Dayton who later was the founding Curator of the Nevada State Railroad Museum.

But earlier he was a model maker for the TV industry. His models of the USS Enterprise were central to the STAR TREK series.

There is some good reading in there!
