NNG- Grand Canyon Ry. 29 back in service

I talked this afternoon with my friend Eric Hadder @ Grand Canyon Ry. and he was happy to pass along that 2-8-0 29
had recently been taken off of display and given a 5 yr. FRA inspection which required no heavy work to her.

She operated in the Williams Yd this last Thursday and is scheduled to run to the Canyon on the 24th and then
doublehead with 4960 on the 27th.

They are really happy with 29, she was already a great puller before the Lempor conversion to the front end.
Some now regard her as a better overall engine than 4960.

I never got to really work on her when I was there, but was given a short ride in 2004 when she was put back
in service. This engine is one of Americas unheralded pullers, a real stud.
