1st Farmington-Salt Lake City oil train.

Ron Nott let me post this picture from his collection. 12 tank cars and a caboose with two engines pulling up to Carbon Junction outside of Durango. It is supposed to be the first gasoline train from Farmington, NM to Salt Lake City. appears to be a C-16 (as they are called now) and maybe a C-19. I wonder if the white spots on the tank cars are banners of some sort.

I don't now if these pictures have been posted on this forum before since I did not see them in a search. I thought with the previous posts on this forum about tank cars and oil trains it would be of interest.
