The C&TS Commissioners didn't make such an awful bad decision with regard to the 478/483 trade? There is obviously something more to the situation if the D&SNG is restoring a locomotive (476) that has been static and on display for so long (20 years or so?). The facts are that it was told far and wide to all that 476 would probably never run again due to all of its mechanical issues and all of the $$$ and work involved getting it back in tip top shape. IF they are rebuilding it, what might that say about our old friend 478?
Before anyone comes at me with both barrels, I am glad it is being restored to operation. I'm not harboring any resentment to or fro, good or bad about any swap, different RR or other. I just find it interesting, and wondered if anyone else did as well.
