Some photos along the Silverton Northern RoW last August

At the end of last summer I managed to take a ride up to Animas Forks along the SN grade. Got a bunch of pics (with my phone unfortunately) from the yards all the way to Forks. Can't wait to see the line restored and the restoration work already done to equipment looked great. Wish I could have seen the inside of the engine house.

And now a side question, when they finally get the SN up and running again any idea what equipment they will use? Maybe GL 40 or 44 and paint them up as #34? I think I've also seen recent pictures of another outside frame 2-8-0 that looked really similar to #34 so maybe that?


I'll share my pictures from along the Silverton Railway too soon including Red Mountain and Ironton.
