in Sacramento, CA this weekend at the Sacramento Valley Live Steamers Spring Meet. Engine built to 3.5 inch scale so it runs on the 7.25 track. It was truly the biggest engine of the event, especially since the 1.5 scale SP cab forward didn't make it. Engine built to help sell others by RMI in California. I thought I had a video of it, but apparently I didn't push the record button with enough gusto for a response, and no rear shot which really showed it as a 2' model. New owner in possession of it for 30 days was not too knowledgeable, but it seems pretty obvious its based on the Maine Two Footers. Burns diesel, they have ordered a propane burner. Sweet running and sounding little engine.
Two diesel burners at the meet and one wood burner, a model of the Pacific Coast #6, a 4-4-0, and no coal burners. An RGS engine and steam outline 3' shay round out the narrow gage models, but there was an interesting little 2-4-0 that has some sort of connection to down under, it wasn't clear to me that the model was freelanced in Australia, or a model of one of their engines. Everything else was standard gauge from an 0-4-0 to a pair of Daylight and I think 9 matching cars. Supposedly they had a double header, but I missed that.
