Was thumbing through Baldwin Locomotive January 1928 magazines and saw this beauty on page 10. So this is what 223 may have looked like when she was fresh out on the line of the D&RG.
Also found a larger version of this picture in Richard l. Dorman book "Alamosa/Salida and the Valley Line. R.D. Publications , Inc. 1991" with credits coming from Mazzula Collection ACM (Amon Carter Museum)
