After we completed the radial lens project, which required over a year and more than $4000 for the molds a couple of years ago, I started working towards making the complete lamps. I found and bought an original Handlan radial lamp that had been shop converted from oil to electric with the chimney section replaced with a flat top, and started out to make the cast iron brackets first. This part of the project should be done sometime this year. I had wanted to start in on the lamp bodies last year as well, but had several other large projects take up most of my time, including making the center lamps for Dave Kloke's replica of the Lincoln Funeral Car.
I'll be moving the radial lamp project to the front burner shortly, and should be able to post some progress pictures here.
