Model - turntable

Hi,
The first photo is the prototype turntable. It has a very unusual design. The photo is from Hilton's American Narrow Gauge book page 549.
This is my incomplete model. I need to lay rails and then complete the model.
Doubt I'll use it but is an intriguing design that I wanted to build for the heck of it.
