Re: Automatic Bell Questions

Unfortunately, the bell pictured earlier is not mine. The pics were pulled from another website that was linked. A friend showed me some stuff and I was doing some research on it, I just looked on line to find out as much as I could.

On another note, why would a bell frame be cast with D&RG? I would assume that manufacturers like Baldwin would cast their own bells and frames with their own info. Would a D&RG cast bell be a replacement, or would the manufacturer put the purchasing company info in the castings?

Were there bells on the D&RG(W) that were in other places than locomotives? Like MOW equipment, Depots or other structures?
