I have a couple questions. Pictured below is two versions of two different styles of internal pneumatic bell ringers. I assume most of the NG engines on the Rio Grande that had an internal ringer were equipped with the style on the right. This is a single direction ringer that will work with both the cord and air, but only strikes one side of the bell.
First question, Is this the style that is in the K-36's currently? I know it says EMD, but this is simply for illustration.
The other style of bell ringer on the left was patented by A.W. Martin in 1924, patent no. 1,497,925. This style ringer was designed to operate in both directions with either the cord or air, but did not require the bell to move with pneumatic operation.

Second question, has anyone ever seen this style ringer in a D&RGW bell, either SG or NG?
