Re: NNG: When was M&PP No. 4 converted to oil burning?

The locomotives needed to fill up 3 times up and down in one trip. They usually filled up at Minnehaha, Mountain View, and at Windy Point. There was a water tank at Halfway House which was used on occasion. It was made from an old Colorado Midland tank car. It was recently brought down to Manitou, and will see service once again as our main water tower at the depot. The tanks at Minnehaha and Mountain View still exist, but the tank at Windy Point was removed many years ago.
