Hi all,
My name is Bill. I have been a resident of the Four Corners, primarily Durango, CO since 1967. I have just joined the NGDF and am excited to be here.
I graduated from Fort Lewis College, in 1971 with a major in Am History. I never did much of anything with this until about a year ago. Seems like that coincided with my retirement. I have now created a website dedicated to photographing the Four Corners region and writing about the local history.
This forum seems to be an endless source of information.
All this having been said one of my first projects is the Farmington Branch of the D&RG. I have passed this building countless time in the last 48+ year. It has "CLARKDALE" written above the door. It is located about two hundred yards north of the old right of way. It may or may not have been a stop along the rail line. I have not been able to find out anything about it. Does anyone have a clue?
