Winter Work On D&RGW #480 At Alamosa February 1963!

I just picked up an interesting collection of soot covered locomotive cab cards in their original metal and glass frames. These were all from D&RGW engines parked in the dead line in Alamosa.

There were 2 styles of cab cards. One was the FRA mandated monthly inspection cab card while the other one was special to the D&RGW. The vertical card shows it is D&RGW form 3418. It contains much of the same info as on the FRA form but is in a different format.

I thought some of you might like to see one from D&RGW #480.
