This is something that is utterly none of my business, but it popped up in my email via a Yahoo Group devoted to the ex-SV diesel. Apparently, a lack of communication between CRRM and a machine shop that reproduced parts for the engine. As I've said, none of my business, but it would be a shame that expensive parts were scrapped because someone did not answer the phone.

"i am the one who rebuilt the gearbox.i have the drawings of the gearbox and drawings we made to make parts as well as part numbers of the $3900 in gears bearings and parts we bought to do the repair.i have tried a number to to reach the supt. of motivepower at the crrm with no luck.i ended up talking to some gal who kept telling me the do not need it ,they have everything they need,how can they,.i never sent it..i will try one more time before trashing it. ray @ mueller machine&tool co"
