You've likely seen the pictures and videos of WW&F locomotive #9 lovingly restored to operation after 82 years of inactivity. Now, we are starting our next restoration project, Bridgton and Saco River boxcar 67 and need donations to purchase the necessary materials.
If you are a member of the WW&F museum, you've already received our annual fundraising letter – which was released before car 67 was secured. Members of the WW&F should not consider this appeal for car 67, we deeply appreciate all you have already contributed (or will contribute) to the annual campaign.
Instead, we are offering this opportunity to all of our friends, fans, and followers throughout the world. Here is a way that you can help us continue the mission of the WW&F, to preserve and restore the railroad that was the livelihood of the Sheepscot valley, and educate others on the role of Maine's unique two-foot system of narrow gauge railroads.
You will find all the details on our "GoFundMe" page:
www.gofundme.com/car67
Thank you in advance for your generous (and tax-deductible) contribution.
Merry Christmas,
-The Crew at the WW&F
PS: We *may* have a very exciting announcement regarding this campaign shortly – so stay tuned…
