Hi,
On page 103 of Hilton's American Narrow Gauge Railroads, there is a map of the three (3) main narrow gauge railroads - TC&StL, StL&C, and T&StL.
The weak link was the Saint Louis and Cairo.
In the past 10 years or so, I seem to recall reading a magazine article (i.e. Model Railroader) that said a standard gauge railroad had SG flat cars with ng rails to move ng cars from Malden MO to StL Mo.
I can not seem to find it in Hilton's book. Does anyone recall this possible memory of mine?
Thanks.
