Update -
I just checked the 10-day forecast for Chama, and the Weatherguessers are predicting
sunny weather most of next week, with highs in the seventies and lows in the forties.
Friday shows partly cloudy with a slight dip in temperature, and Saturday - being the
eleventh day - isn't shown. It appears the weather will be typical "Indian Summer",
but it's possible that the weather on Saturday, Oct 3, 2015 will look a lot like it did
on Sunday, Oct. 2, 1966 - 49 years ago - as the very last Kiwanis Kolor Karavan
three-day excursion climbed Bocea Hill eastbound out of Durango
:
The weather stayed cloudy the rest of the day, but I don't remember that it actually snowed - or even rained.
Here we are at Gato later in the morning

And approaching Coxo that afternoon

Keep your fingers crossed!
