Yes Virginia, it appears there will be RailFest this year

Announced Tuesday through a news release to the Silverton Standard, the D&S is getting it usual early start on announcing and promoting this year's RailFest. Of note is the running of the Telluride Goose #4 along with the #5 from Dolores in tandem to Silverton, with an overnight stay and then return to Durango. I assume there is information on the D&S website. If not, read the Silverton Standard.

The brochure put out for 2015 by the D&S conveniently omits both the train schedules and fares. We are handing their brochure out along with our museum brochures in the Silverton Northern caboose. I understand the staff at the D&S station in Silverton are handing out last year's All Aboard magazine that contains the schedule of the D&S trains. I guess people are supposed to guess when trains arrive and depart.
