Was reading through the book: "Chili Line" by John A. Gjevre, and came across something interesting. Filming the movie "The Light that Failed" was done on the Chili line in 1939. The locomotive used was C-19 #343 (run without tender!). The #343 was decorated with sandbags in an attempt to appear as an Egyptian locomotive. The Rio Grande was even dammed to make it appear wider like the Nile. There is an undated photograph in the CRRM publication "to Santa Fe by Narrow Gauge" that shows the #343 in this service (with tender!).

Now, everything I ever read (until now) was that the #343 was never used after it was returned from it's South Park service in 1937. Did the D&RGW bring the #343 back to life briefly to make this movie or is the date wrong?
