The current thread on the "A" and "H" frame turntables, reminded me of something I saw the other day.
I was recently watching "The Roosevelts" on PBS. The production makes use of many vintage railroad scenes, including many rear platform campaign speech images.
One of which, in episode 2, at about 55 mins., includes a wooden turntable in the background:
In all fairness, it appears to be standard gauge. The central frame is unfamiliar, not exactly what I recognize as an "H". Also, I'm trying to understand what the rollers are in the last photo along the pit ring.
