I never forgave RailAmerica for getting rid of the Ex BN U-30Cs and replacing them with EMD converters. (EMD built converters, they converted diesel fuel into noise!) The GEs had too small of doorways to the cab but mechanically they were bullet proof and you could abuse them and they would just keep going. JP
PS, there were 4 hard pulls going eastbound against the majority of the loads: Flagler hole, Almena Hill and either side of Smith Center.
