I noted that a recent mailing from Friends HQ promoted several "new" features this summer at work sessions. One of which was "picture night" where we are suppose to get together and show slides or digital images.
I think we did some of the same things in the pre-Friends work sessions. Back when all 15-20 volunteers could eat together in one of the restaurants in Chama, I think we had some Show and Tell sessions. A lot of good friendships were formed and maintained to this day, over 25 years ago.
The Square Nail Gang (tm) also had some great fellowship activities. Back in the day (probably 1995), many of the volunteers working in Osier camped at Sublette Heights. Evenings always featured a camp fire and lots of stories. Sometimes we even set up a screen and had a slide show.
Although, understand when we showed slides, the screen needed to be tied down firmly, else it could blow away!
