Visible track - CDOT Cumbres Pass North Facing Camera

If you look at the image from CDOT's Cumbres Pass north facing camera, you can see what appears might be the end of a wye near some gravel piles. I looked on google earth maps and this is actually a short segment of disconnected track. It is located behind the Cumbres depot between the depot and the highway.
Is this a track segment that was pulled and replaced, and stored at that location or was there a connected track there once?
