Trivia

Hi,

Narrow gauge is usually associated with mining and lumber. An exception is the BRB&L which was maybe the narrow gauge Northeast Corridor.

EBT had coal and lumber. I think ET&WNC had the same. Uintah and White Pass were also mining related. The Hawaiian lines were not.

Now then, what US gold fields were NOT served by railroads? I know of one but there could be more. Do you know why?
