Funeral for Ernie Walker March 27

Although not a 'railroad man' in many ways, Ernie worked on and built railroad cars and the Railbus for the Animas River Railway in Durango and another 'railbus' in Alaska and had much love and affection for the railroads. His dad used to ride the train from Durango to Silverton to go to work (and swore he'd never ride it again once he no longer worked in Silverton).
Ernie passed away last week at age 66. His memorial service is this Friday. He is my ex-husband's uncle but has always been more like a cousin. He will be missed greatly. [obituaries.durangoherald.com]
