I see some photos have been posted from last weeks flanger charter on the Cumbres & Toltec, but I'm sure no one will object to a little video.
We were incredibly lucky with the weather, as there was virtually no snow on the ground between Antonito and Sublette a couple of weeks before the trip. Thankfully 2 big snowstorms passed through Colorado in the preceding 10 days, and the weather cleared just ahead of our trip giving us clear skies and abundant sunshine on all 3 days of the charter. With #489 pulling Flanger OJ, we made it as far as Sublette on the final day. The backhoe on the flat car was not for show. It was put to use clearing the wye at Big Horn and rescuing #489 from a drift!
