C16 223

A friend and fellow foamer and I were talking and the subject of 223 was brought up. He said that his father and brother were very involved with the 223 restoration (they live in Ogden). He said that they were very upset to what has happened.
I asked for details to which he only said that "they had been kicked out by the depot and that the project is dead".
He had no more information than that as he has been here in Kansas for several years.

I have heard pieces here and there as well as the postings that were here have stopped, so is there any information to what is happening? At face value this seems sad, but not knowing the story makes this all the harder.
I have had no luck with finding details so does anyone out there have any information to share?
