Camping via the D&SNG question?

Hey there guys. I have been wanting to pack in to the canyon via the train FOREVER and luck would have it that I'm going to finally be able to have the funds + time to do SOOOOO much more. I have read the D&SNG sites and the season pass seems the way to go (specially for me). Has anyone done this and can you give me some experiences with it..
