Late 1800's wheel profile?

January 25, 2015 08:14PM avatar
I was wondering if anyone knew if there were differences in wheel profiles specifically for drivers since the late 1800's?

Whether mandated by the ICC, FRA, or just the industry it self.

My curiosity applies mostly to the Flange height and thickness for steam locomotives then vs. what is used today. What was it and what is used today?
