I am building a scale model of the Cumbres Section House, however I have three sets of plans and they disagree as to the size of the section house.
John W. Maxwell measured it on Feb 6, 1981. His drawing showed the section houses as 15' x 32' with a 18' x 30' wing and a 23' x 15' kitchen.
John Maxwell's D&RGW standard section house plans, in the February 1992 Railroad Model Craftsman magazine, show a 16' x 24' 6" section house, a 16' x 24' 10" wing and a 21' x 11' 8" kitchen.
The 1919 ICC Valuation Maps show the section house as 16' x 28', with a 16' x 30' wing and a 12' x 18' kitchen.
None of the plans give dimensions of the lean twos so the back (south) side of the section house.
Which is correct?
