Thank you for that information. I didn't know that in the early days they did Sublette turns. I wonder if it was limitations in locomotives, tracks not yet repaired, or limitation in seating?
Great pictures. I like #4 the best. 483 looks purty. I like how with the white (Clean) you can see the details of the smokebox whereas with the look now, you can't really see any details in the pictures...they look almost solid black.
I'd be interested in seeing that footage. I neeed to hook up the ole' VCR and rewatch all of the tapes I have, including the 819 special to Fordyce, Arkansas.
