C&S 1008 Bobber Springs

We are getting close to rebuilding frame sills and are laying out the various holes which will need to be drilled. Most of the hole locations so far have been found by simply copying the existing hole dimensions and transfering those to our drawings. When we acquired 1008 it had been striped of all metal parts and Bob and I have been collecting used and making new replacements for the missing pieces. Of course none of the parts we have been able to locate are authentic C&S caboose parts and the holes for mounting these "new" parts are different than the original. We are now ready to layout the pedestals and spring hangers. We have the pedestals, journal boxes and spring hanger assembly but need to have 4 sets of leaf springs made. This requires calculations and one of the factors in the calculations is of course an accurate weight of the car. With all the information we have collected we have not been able to find the actual car weight. We have plenty of guesses but are in need of an authentic C&S measured weight. Can anyone help?
