Machinist job opening at Durango & Silverton RR

For those out there that are interested in being a part of the team that maintains the Durango and Silverton Railroads fleet of 6 steam and 4 diesel locomotives, the D&SNG has an immediate job opening for a full-time machinist/mechanic.

Candidates must have some ability/experience in manual machining and or steam locomotive repair work. Welding and general mechanic skills are a plus.

Job typically consists of 7 months of machining/rebuilding and 5 months of troubleshooting and maintaining.

The standard shift is 40 hours a week. The primary winter shift is 7-3:30, with the primary summer "second" shift from 3-11pm. Ability to work weekends, holidays and overtime is a must.
