Equipment List

I would like to remind John and everyone that there are 99% accurate lists of all equipment and structures on the Friends' web site. They include a little history. "Captain Kirk" Binning spent a lot of his time compiling it a few years ago. And I rearranged and updated it a year or so ago. Gerald helped QC it.
If you have questions concerning reefers, converted boxcar coaches or the steel hoppers you should look there first. The link to the equipment list is shown below.
Here is what it says about the BA&P hoppers:
1307 Hopper Ballast use - Former BA&P standard gauge car 1307 is RRBX number. Number 2765 shows in places.
1311 Hopper Ballast use - Former BA&P standard gauge car. 1311 is RRBX number
My understanding is that these cars would not dump the ballast properly for narrow gauge dimensions. That, and so little ballasting done anyway, meant that they went to the "dead line".
