Thanks Jeff,
I'm looking forward to it being finished myself!
The whole thing has been a real learning experience that I wish I could share with more of you individually. I have made the assembly process an exhibit which people can come by and see, but sometimes people think it is just an old car being repainted and refurbished. They are amazed when they find out it is all new construction. That's when the cameras come out.
Frankly, I think sometimes I am a bit nuts for having done this. People often ask what are you going to do with it? I explain that it is to be used behind an 1875 steam locomotive. That peaks their interest even more.
In as much I do plan to use it with Eureka, I also want to share it with NSRM CC tousewith their newly restored Glenbrook. They do not have any cars in Carson City to pull with the Glenbrook and so we both might as well get some use out of it. Besides, the NSRM CC and NSRM BC have been most helpful in this project. After all, the entire reason for doing all this is to share Nevada's narrow gauge history with the public and demonstrate why this kind of history must be restored, operated and replicated. It was an important part of our transportation heritage.
