Malcom passed away last weekend after a long illness near his home.
What makes Malcom so important to the narrow gauge preservation community especially the Friends was what he did. Malcom was the guy who donated $20,000.00 seed money to get the ball rolling on the Antonito CRF building. He not only provided funds for the building, but most of the metal working equipment we use inside the building, such as the lathe, the mill, and several of the welders. He donated two tractors, one is equiped with a backhoe to greatly make the work of volunteers much easier and productive. (we ain't twenty any more..) Malcom attended many work sessions and there are many more things Malcom did to help out the Friends as well as the railroad over the years that are too many to mention.
He will be missed, The track is clear, green signals my friend, and thank you.
