I took a quick motorcycle trip from Kentucky to Colorado this past week. The trip was cut short when one of the guys I was riding with got sick.
These are all shots from the same old places and nothing fancy or new. I did get to smell some coal smoke and that was worth the trip!
1st the C&T with 487 at Tanglefoot.
487 pulling into Cumbres. Both shot last Sunday 9-7-14
D&S 482 with the 1st train leaving Durango on Monday 9-8-14
482 at the 250 crossing.
486 with the 2nd train pulling into Silverton. Rainy and slick.
Mike Nichols, the engineer, said it caught him by surprise because she has good sanders and is usually pretty sure footed.
Mike Nichols is retiring this year. He is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Good luck to him and thanks for the memories!
