Les Clark, who with his wife Nan were both very important members of the Friends organization passed away Monday.
While Nan was one of our hardest working directors Les was no less important at work sessions as the guy who would help any team work out problems that would hang them up and slow down progress on their project. I cannot remember a summer without both of them in Chama from before opening until closing of the railroads operating season doing whatever it took to take care of problems not only for the Friends, but the railroad as well.
I spent many enjoyable hours working with Les over the years and it was always quality time. While Les worked long hard hours, he always took time to do some train chasing and took videos, many times with his friend Roger Hogan.
Switches are set, the board is green, highball my friend and we will miss you.
