I tried to find some photos on line of the WW&F's trestle work in Wiscasset, and this is the best I could find -- a sample of pages from the Arcadia book "Maine Narrow Gauge Railroads" by Robert MacDonald (hope the link works!).

As Stewart noted, the narrow gauge arrived at Wiscasset after the broad gauge Maine Central, so it was forced to build some significant trestle work out in the harbor to reach its lower yard.

At low tide you can still make out the route of the WW&F in rotted pilings along the waterfront -- amazing 80+ years after abandonment.
