Did you know that Alva Lyons was fired by the railroad. He was in the early 1920s but he got his job back with no loss of seniority. His discharge was listed in the papers at the R.W. Richardson Library at the Colorado Railroad Museum.

In 1907 the Fourth Division of the D&RG had 132 men in the engine service. In 1967 the former Fourth Division had 28 men. Diesels and abandonments took care of the reduction.
