OK Skip,
I will concede that the first railroad was 24" and the Kauai Plantation Railway is 36" gauge, but what I and others were referring to is the Grove Farm Museum railway. According to their web site all of their locomotives operated on the Grove Farm predecessors. The Kauai Plantation Railway web site indicates that their's is new construction and is currently operated with a Whitcomb diesel, although they have two steamers awaiting restoration. The Kauai web site is somewhat confusing in that it contains information on both railways.
